HOW I STAY CALM AND FOCUSED IN THIS PANDEMIC
· As a follow up to my first blog I want to share a few tips on how I stay calm and focused in this pandemic. To survive in this pandemic, a healthy lifestyle is critical. Our dietary intake is important to our physical well-being, as well as our mental health.
I try to focus on things that I am passionate about, like
gardening, home DIY projects, and occasionally trying out new recipes.
Maintaining our basic healthy habits during this time is
crucial. Below are some tips to
consider;
· A balanced diet will guarantee a strong immune system that will help us with stand any assault by the virus.
· Turn what could be a stressful task of cleaning and reorganizing into fun.
· A vigorous workout will not only keep us fit, but will also help to take our minds off the current situation.
· Meditation can be another great solution for letting go of daily stress, frustration or anxiety.
· Spending more quality time with family and friends.
Mental and emotional stress can affect how we feel
physically. Often when we are stressed, we feel tired, irritable and are more
prone to sickness.
This is a scary, stressful time we are living in, but we
still need to have a little fun each day, especially if we have kids around.
We cannot control the number of cases, or the spread of
the virus. What we can control is how we use our time in quarantine, and what
we put inside our bodies.
This is the time to control the space we are in, and a
great time to focus on those home and garden projects that we have been
neglecting.
